A new day has dawned, one of optimism and real hope, as President Obama exits, stage right, and Donald Trump enters, stage “Make America Great Again,” bringing with him business savvy, economic sense, logical immigration and national security policy and a boldness that sends the message to overseas governments who’ve managed to take over the U.S. place on the world stage in recent years: America’s back, and the adults are in charge.
Gone are the days of automatic concession and conciliation. No more apology tours, no more bowing to foreign leaders.
It’s like a weight’s been lifted – one that’s been there so long, its presence has almost been forgotten. That’s not to say Trump’s a savior; that role belongs to Jesus. Trump is just a guy, remember. But with divine intervention, and with an American population that remembers to put God first, not government – and certainly not sin and false gods – America is on track to a freer society, a more blessed and protected existence.
But a picture says way more than words could.
And this one says: Obama’s last night in office. The White House wasn’t exactly partying.
And this one says: Obama’s leaving the Oval Office, for the last time in his White House career.
And this one says: Bye, Mr. and Mrs. Obama. Hello, Mr. and Mrs. Trump.
And this one says: The American people are more than ready for a new leader.
And more on that theme: Thousands gather to show support for Trump.
And finally, this one says: The moment we’ve all been waiting for has finally arrived. Or, perhaps this, more concise: At Last.
