The war on capitalism continues, it seems. The State University of New York at Buffalo is readying to offer students a special workshop on diversity that looks to explore the free market economic system “as it relates to oppression,” as the campus website puts it.
It’s called “Capitalism or Crapitalism,” and according to the school’s Intercultural and Diversity Center course description, students will debate this:
“Until the 2016 Democratic Primary, socialism was not a topic that often entered the sphere of mainstream political dialogue. Capitalism, for the most part, remained unquestioned as well. Join the discussion in this workshop that will explore capitalism as it relates to oppression and human rights.”
That’s hardly the only far left topic of discussion planned for the coming weeks through this center.
Other planned topics and course titles include “Diversity Zone Training,” “Leading for Change: Tackling Microaggressions on College Campuses,” and “Let’s Talk About – Is Black History Repeating Itself?”
And it’s the usual left-leaning activism.
The “Diversity Zone Training,” for instance, “explores the roles of privilege and allyship within systems of power and oppression.” And the one on black history quesitons whether “oppression still exist[s]” as well as “what it may feel like to be a black U.S. citizen in today’s world.”
The LGBTQ crowd gets a nod, as well.
“Leading for Change: How to be an ally to Transgender Students Who are Transitioning,” explores just that and promises “students will leave with knowledge of how to advocate for the fair treatment of transgender students as well as a better understanding of the current issues that face the transgender community.”
