‘Impeach Donald Trump’ Petition Drive Gathers Steam

The voices of the far left who see President Donald Trump’s election as invalid because he didn’t win the popular vote, and illegitimate because of what they label as his suspicions busness ties with Russia, have now gathered onto a petition aimed at pushing his impeachment.

The petition comes as Democrats in Congress, like Reps. Maxine Waters, from California, and John Lewis, from Georgia, have been pressing the same, since inauguration days.

It also comes as Trump enters about his fourth week in office – a time-in-service stampt that’s barely long enough to enact any policy let alone commit an impeachable offense.

The petition was created by Free Speech for People and Roots Action, two far left groups.

And as Ron Fein, the legal director for Free Speech For People, told News.com: “No modern president has displayed the casual indifference to the Constitution and the rule of law that President Trump shows. The violations, the corruption, and the threat to our republic are here now, but they will only get worse the longer he stays in office. Americans deserve a President who is not beholden to foreign governments to keep his businesses afloat, and whose decisions about bread-and-butter, not to mention life-and-death matters, will not be used to prop up Trump Towers around the world.”

So far, the petition has more than 850,000 names on it.

And some in Congress are listening. Waters, for exaple, has taken to several public forums to press for impeachment, while admitting Trump’s not yet committed any crime worthy of the legal action.

“We just have to dig deeper, do the investigation and find it,” she said, recently, referencing a possible cause that could be found with Trump’s business tied to Russia.

“I think that he colluded with Putin during the election,” she said, Inquisitr.com reported, “and that hacking abnd everything … took place. I think that it’s there.”

In January, before the inauguration, Lewis said similarly.

“I don’t see this president-elect as a legitimate president,” he said then. “I think the Russians participated in helping this man get elected, and they helped destroy the candidacy of Hillary Clinton. … [It’s a] conspiracy [and] that’s not right. That’s not fair. That’s not the open democratic process.”
